Rain consists of water droplets that have condensed in the atmosphere and have become heavy enough to precipitate. Seasonal or constant, the rains are refreshing and bring the perfect weather to curl up in a blanket with coffee to read a book: my favorite thing to do on a rainy day!

The first showers of rain cleanse the atmosphere. Let the monsoon bring cleansing and renewal in you. The bad times are washed away and the good ones are on the way!

I don’t know about you, but I really like the smell of wet Earth during the first showers of rain! This is testament to the phrase “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” Mud that seems icky in general , suddenly has a scent that indicates that monsoon is here! Everyone is beautiful, you just have to look. Love your quirks because they make you different from everyone else.

If you’re caught in the storms of life, remember that it will pass. The dark clouds that you see will soon be replaced with clear skies. Be strong, you will get through this.  If you’ve been hit by a flood, maybe it’s time to rebuild and regroup. Time to make everything better. Time for change. Time to rebuild yourself and your relationships.

Don’t let the wind sweep you off your feet. Stay grounded no matter what and remember your roots. You may have reached the pinnacle of your life, but don’t forget how you got there. Don’t forget all the success and failure that have lead you to this moment in time; learn from it. Humility is key.

Raincoats and umbrellas shield you from the rain. Try to be prepared for what life throws at you. Be proactive. Don’t just stand there all wet and grumpy, do something!

Help people who are getting drenched in the rain. Drape a towel over their shoulders or offer them an umbrella. Reach out to people; make new friends. Always appreciate those who have been by your side in all the seasons of life.

Rain could fall in showers, a drizzle, storms or even hurricanes. We’re all different. We have different preferences and personalities. Learn to be accepting and open-minded. Don’t pass judgements about someone just because they don’t like the same things as you and dislike what you dislike. We’re all unique.

There’s a quote from John Green’s Looking For Alaska in which the protagonist notes :

” If people were rain, I was drizzle and she was a hurricane.”

Be a hurricane destroying negativity and the challenges that come your way.
