Diamonds

Diamonds are formed under high temperatures and pressure in the Earth’s mantle below the continental plates. Many years of heat and pressure under the ground have created the sparkly and tough substance that we see today.

Diamonds are the hardest substance known to man. Be resistant to force. The key to this is to build up your strengths and working towards eliminating your weaknesses.

Do what excites you, what gets you charged up. Conduct energy that makes you happy and pass it on to others because you could just make their day.

Diamonds are chemically stable and so they don’t react much. You must respond not react. Be level-headed and assess the situation before impulsively acting out because you could just end up with regret and hurt.

To mould yourself into a gem, first shape your personality. Then do a quality check. Start polishing and finally, inspect. This a process that never ends because it’s never too late to stop bad habits and inculcate new values like stopping procrastination and learning the value of time. Okay, that hit too close to home…. 4 seasons of Arrow isn’t going to watch itself!

Even if the pressure gets to you, don’t worry, you haven’t failed this city! It’s okay if you break under pressure because you always get a second chance and you can always redeem yourself.

Diamonds can only be scratched by other diamonds. Keep in mind that the company you keep affects your personality. Surround yourself with people who bring out the best in you and are with you through the worst. Don’t let negative people faze you. Remember that you also can be that person at times.

It is under high pressure and stress, when you truly discover yourself. You learn to chisel your strengths and cut out your weaknesses. Your morals, values and ideals are tested. You come out stronger and better. Do you want to be a rough stone or a polished diamond?
